I joined DA in my first year of college (back in 2004)... At the time I just wanted an outlet other than Livejournal for what I like to do with my life. I started out posting stuff that I did in High School...
I thought this was the best one I had at the time n file, and I never really got around to updating others... I played around with photo manipulation for a little bit...
and
But that was really only just the beginning of my capability, because I think my best one came when my grandfather died.
I really liked how I was able to get sepia tone every where but the rose in this one.
It wasn't until 2007 until I really started to take myself seriously and hit a stride with doing digital work. I was so serious about it this is my first (and so far only) real logo...
Then I went into more traditional media for a while with sketch books and especially black paper work.
I love the colors and gradients of this piece.
Yet I think you can see the most growth in my deviant IDs...
and you can watch how I have changed with age...
And how my art has changed with me and changed on DA. Now I know I am supposed to describe each of them, but I like them because they are a snap-shot of me, my art, and my personality all at once. I like to let my artwork speak for itself.... You decide how I have grown...
I may have a new Deviant ID out soon. Yet I am glad DA has been with me for the past 8 years. I am proude to have Deviant as my primary outlet for my art. Happy Birthday DA! Here is until Hell freezes over!

Eclipsed, so long and thanks for all the llamas
First: I must give Wazaga (https://www.deviantart.com/wazaga) a big 'ol round-of-applause for all the hard work done. So Check this out! https://forum.deviantart.com/community/complaints/2582123/
Second #thesoundofsilencemovement (I'm mostly in any way because I hardly update on here anymore after Eclipse first debuted). I am actively participating in this. I'll not be on with purpose.

Moving on...
In July I'll be moving back up to Northern Virginia, ending the Living in Lynchburg Chapters. Thinking about it, I might be moving on from Deviant Art as well. I hardly post my art on here anymore in favor of Instagram just (https://www.deviantart.com/just)_jenns_life twitter@jennokammi or Facebook @seriescatscradle
It's been a difficult decision to make, and I doubt I'll ever fully delete this page or anything else. It is a testament to a lot of growth in my art, and it can still be a way to contact me, but I'll be steadily moving to other sources and unwatching people from this site.
I'm 33 now. Reasonably sure that I am outside the target age group for this site. I'm su
Some bad news....
So I am sure by now you all are aware of Alex... My beautiful wonderful, amazing, perfect grey and white boy. Well, He crossed the rainbow bridge on Wednesday, 4/18/18. He was only 5 (wouldn't have been 6 until August). He had a urinary tract blockage, and we didn't know, he was crying Friday night, all night, so we took him to the vet on Saturday... They catheterized him, but he wasn't improving. Sunday evening a Tornado tore through my town, but thankfully we weren't directly affected by it. Monday they went in for surgery and found that his bladder had ruptured, and about half of it was necrotized. They cut away the dead flesh, patched hi
Life... It happens
So, I've been a full time teacher for a few months now, and noticing that with a 2.75 to 3 hour commute and working Saturdays/Sundays... I'm really freakishly busy. As I type now... I am exhausted and just finished putting in grades.
I am currently working on some crochet projects, finished some others. Artistically, 90% of my creativity is going into teaching, and 10% is the crochet outlet or the rare doodle.
Right now... I am just very tired. I mostly operate out of my phone now, and it has its own unique challenges.
I love what I am doing... Just so tired.
